WISE was an overall great experience. It was nice to have the guidance of people who have been through the process of school and getting a job after. The workshop on writing a good resume was especially helpful...Charleen Hunt. I had a great experience with the WISE program. Thanks to WISE setting me up with a mentor in my senior year, I had a job in chemical sales working for my mentor immediately after graduation...Christine Varacallo. WISE was absolutely a positive experience for me, especially since I was a math major who wasn't interested in teaching. Hearing so many stories about women who found their way through the sciences to careers they flourished in, often ending up far from where they predicted, helped me to feel secure in the fact that life always works out regardless of how it appears. Also, the mentoring program was a blessing to me, in that my mentor helped influence my choice in graduate school and also helped me to submit my paperwork. I think in general, knowing that other people had felt what I was feeling, and had come out better than when they started served as a wonderful example of how to view my academics and my life. Nothing is absolute, and just relaxing, being yourself, and having confidence in your abilities will go far in building character and leading you to the life you want.. Donivyn Schmidt.
